Norcom,
Inc. was founded in 1978.
Originally acting solely as a broker, Norcom outsourced all
manufacturing requirements.
In 1980 Norcom began manufacturing its own back-to-school paper and
bindery products.
Today, Norcom is a leader in the school supply industry due to
strong product selection, state-of-the-art equipment commitment of
customer service and extensive customer research. The
company manufactures and markets loose-leaf paper, wirebound notebooks,
three-ring binders, wireless notebooks, pads, folders, typewriter paper,
art/activity papers and poster board products.
In addition, Norcom both imports products for re-sale and exports
products for sale in foreign markets.
The products are ultimately distributed to the mass, college
bookstore, specialty and commercial markets.
Norcom’s sales territory encompasses the U.S. and Latin America. Norcom’s
products are updated each year to keep up with consumer trends.
To stay most current with shoppers’ preferences, Norcom uses
demographic and psychographic information and its own qualitative and
quantitative research.
The company attends major trade shows domestically, in Latin
America and Europe to gain more insight into the trends that are affecting
the school and home/office markets.
Additionally, Norcom is a member of the Color Marketing Group, an
organization forecasting color
directions up to five years in advance for all industries.
This enables Norcom to develop products in the latest and
best-selling colors with accurate timing of market trends. |
